Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. — The D'Youville University women's basketball team hosted the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas in the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 19. The Saints started off hot, ending the first half up 34-25. By the end of the game, DYU fell to ECC number two ranked STAC, 68-49. On the court, both Stella Mollica and Brianne Moxley came through with 14 points for their team.
FIRST QUARTER

Moxley intimidates STAC early with a three-pointer at 9:02. (3-0)

Mollica hits back to back points with a jump shot at 3:59 (9-8) and a three-pointer at 2:33. (12-8)

SECOND QUARTER

With 1:05 left in the half, Moxley widened the lead to nine points, taking the Saints into the half up 34-25.
THIRD QUARTER

The Saints draw a foul, and Anna Jankovic hits a singular free-throw at 9:14. (35-28)

The Spartans tie things up at 36 at 6:04 and take the three-point lead at 5:09. (39-36)

The Saints struck back with Moxley making a three-point jump shot and taking the one point lead at 1:05. The Spartans were able to get their one point lead back before the end of the third with a jump shot made at 49 seconds. St. Thomas Aquinas ended the quarter up three with a layup at three seconds. FOURTH QUARTER

Vleer-Elliott brings the Saints up two points with a layup at 8:46. (46-45)

STAC went on an 11 point run by 4:12 with a three-pointer that made the score 56-45.

Sofie Fuglsang tried to help the Saints with a layup and a free throw at 44 seconds. (65-49) the Saints are unable to capitalize and fall to the Spartans 68-49.
