NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the week three edition of the United Stats Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Rankings, the D'Youville University women's cross country team fell three spots from their previous rank to No. 7 in the East Region.
The Saints are coming off the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University, where the team placed eighth out of 15 teams competing.
DYU was paced by
Lilianna Peters with a time of 19:31.5 to finish 27th out of the field of 183 runners.
Elaina Williams, who was named to the ECC Honor Roll this past weekend, wasn't far off the mark from Peters. Williams crossed the finish line with a time of 19:34.7 to place 30th.
D'Youville will be off this week and will next be at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton University. This will be the team's final regular season meet of the year before they head to the East Coast Conference Championships on October 25th.
