BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Field Hockey Team lost their fourth game of the year 3-0 to Converse University at home on Friday evening.
The Saints were unsuccessful on offense in the game, but defense performed well with
Erica Prible (Holland, N.Y. / Holland) recording one defensive save and
Sarah Reifsnyder (Pylesville, Md. / North Harford) recording seven saves in goal after entering the game in the second half.

The Valkyries got ahead on offense first recording four quick shots on goal, but
Hayden Herbold (East Aurora, N.Y. / Iroquois) was solid in goal to start the game recording all four saves. Converse snuck one by in the eleventh minute of play to take the 1-0 lead. The second quarter was much like the first as Converse found the back of the goal once more to go up 2-0.
The Saints offense picked up after halftime and the Saints earned three quick penalty opportunities.
Erica Prible got a shot off after the third penalty corner but was unable to convert. D'Youville got two more penalty opportunities following the shot but could not find the back of the goal. Converse received a penalty shot opportunity, but Reifsnyder came up big for the Saints recording a big save to keep Converse at two goals.
The Valkyries notched their third goal of the game early in the fourth quarter. The Saints had one more penalty corner opportunity but could not convert to a goal and Converse would go on to win the game 3-0.
