BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville men's basketball team led the way against Villa Maria going into the intermission Saturday afternoon, but ultimately fell 60-71 to the Vikings. Bryson Birdsong led the way for the Saints, dropping 20 points in the afternoon contest. Noah Denz had his third double-double of his career, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

First Half Notables

• The Saints went into the intermission leading 35-24.
• Noah Denz paced the Saints in the first 20 minutes of the game, scoring nine points and recording six rebounds.
• Jaeger Martino and Bryson Birdsong each scored seven points apiece.
• Omar Sangare added five points to the Saints' offensive efforts.
• The Saints shot 88.9% from the free-throw line.

Second Half Notables

• Villa Maria came out of the intermission hot, outscoring the Saints 47-25 and ultimately taking the win 71-60.
• Birdsong led the way for the red and gray, dropping 13 points in the final minutes of the game.
• Denz and Sangare each grabbed four rebounds off the glass. Denz added five points to his stat line.
