Jaime Snyder will enter the 2025 season in her second year as head coach of the D'Youville Saints Men's Volleyball program after takingĀ over the men's volleyball program in August of 2023.
In her inaugural season as the Head Coach of the Men's Volleyball program, the Saints finished 10-13 overall and 1-11 in the Northeast Conference. The Saints began the 2024 season with four-straight wins and would go on another three-game win streak later in the season. Snyder had three players earn NEC in-season accolades throughout the 2024 season. Junior, Randy Adorno was named NEC Prime Performer in weeks three, six, and seven. Sophomore, Shaun Vattakuzhiyil was name NEC Prime Performer in week three and Junior,Ā Tymek Brzoza was named NEC Prime Performer in week 12.Ā
Snyder finished her first season at the helm of the Saints women's volleyball program garnering four wins in 2022. The Saints started the season off winning four of their first seven games, including an impressive win over Glenville State at the 2022 Bald Eagle Classic hosted by Lock Haven College. Snyder's efforts at the helm of the program helped lead to several in-season accolades from both the East Coast Conference and United States College Athletic Association. Sophomore setter, Emma Wlostowski, was named USCAA Women's Volleyball Division I Setter of the Week twice in the early season, while freshman Isabella Prentice was named Player of the Week after their first outing at the SNHU/Saint Anselm Tournament in Manchester, N.H. Prentice was also named ECC Rookie of the Week that same week for her efforts on the court. Sophomore Jaycee Karelus earned ECC Weekly Honor Roll honors three times on the season.
Snyder joined the Saints after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Hartford the past three years. During her time with the Hawks, Snyder focused on defensive technique and skills, working closely with liberos and passers. She paced the NCAA Division I Hawks to conference finals in 2019, and worked closely with two-time Player of the Year, Jenna Bridges, and Rookie of the Year, Maddy Lindsay. Snyder assisted the Hawks in earning the highest GPA of a female team at Hartford, 3.83, last season.
Outside of Hartford, Snyder coached at Husky Volleyball Club out of Windsor, Conn., working with one of the Top-17 teams in the New England region. The team competed at the GJNC and AAU Championships each year she coached.
Prior to her time with Hartford, Snyder was an assistant coach at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. from 2015-17. In her final season with the Cardinals, the team saw an eight-game win improvement at 22-9.
Snyder earned her Master of Science in exercise science and sport studies from Smith College in 2019, where she worked as a graduate assistant.
A graduate of SUNY Brockport in 2015 with a degree in exercise science, Snyder was a four-year starter for the Golden Eagles. She was named SUNYAC First Team All-Conference and team captain from 2012-14. Snyder was tabbed SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2012, ranking in the program's statistical categories in career digs (1,458), digs in a season (644), and digs in a single match (50). At SUNY Brockport, Snyder served as Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Snyder currently resides in Hamburg, N.Y. where she spends her summers playing grass and beach volleyball.
