BUFFALO, N.Y. — D'Youville University men's soccer team has maintained their winning ways, earning a 2-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday afternoon.

The first half began with D'Youville (3-4-2) taking control early, highlighted by a goal from Finn Savage in the 18th minute, assisted by Ethan Robinson. The team maintained momentum with shots on target, notably from Ethan Filbert and Konrad Homberg, challenging West Virginia Wesleyan's goalkeeper, who made several crucial saves. Matthew Solorio also provided a key defensive stop early in the half.

As the half progressed, the Saints continued to press forward, with multiple shots from Dylan Danch and Omar Daoudi testing the opposing defense. Despite the Bobcats' attempts to equalize, including a shot hitting the woodwork, D'Youville held firm. The half closed with DYU leading 1-0, setting a strong foundation for the remainder of the match.

The second half began with D'Youville maintaining consistent pressure on West Virginia Wesleyan. Solorio made a crucial save early on. Daoudi and Conor Livingstone tested the opposing goalkeeper with multiple attempts, leading to a series of corner kicks that sustained their offensive momentum.

Midway through the half, the Saints were awarded a penalty, but Danch's attempt was turned away, keeping the Bobcats within reach. Savage broke the deadlock in the 80th minute, extending D'Youville's lead to 2-0. As the half closed, D'Youville's defense held firm, maintaining the two-goal advantage and securing the victory.

Savage led the team with two goals, including the game-winner in their recent match. Daoudi was active offensively, recording four shots and contributing to the team's pressure upfront.
