FINDLAY, OH – The D'Youville University men's soccer team lost another nailbiter on Saturday, falling to the University of Findlay by a score of 2-1.

In the 12
th minute, the Saints saw a scoring opportunity when freshman
Shawn Richardson (Thailand, Sweden) put a shot on goal, but it was steered away.

DYU continued to apply pressure early, as freshman
Omar Daoudi (South Burlington, Vt.) put a shot on goal, but that one was also smothered by the Findlay goalkeeper.

In the 27
th minute, freshman
Dylan Danch (Erie, Pa.) launched a shot on goal, but once again the Saints were unable to find the back of the net.

DYU prevented Findlay from putting a shot on goal the entire first half, and the two teams headed to the locker room tied at 0-0.

Findlay got their first shot on goal in the 53
rd minute, and it found the back of the net to give the Oilers a 1-0 advantage.

The Saints answered back in the 63
rd minute, as Danch tallied his first collegiate goal to tie up the game at 1-1.

In the 85
th minute, a yellow card on freshman goalkeeper
Matthew Solorio (Kansas City, Mo.) led to a penalty kick goal for Findlay, giving them a 2-1 lead which they would not relinquish.

DYU falls to 0-2 with the loss. They will be back in action at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10
th, when they travel to California University of Pennsylvania.
