BUFFALO, N.Y. – In the first week of competition of Saints Athletics, men's soccer opens up the home slate in the new year on Thursday. Women's volleyball heads to Ohio for the Ashland University Invitational on Friday and Saturday with women's soccer heading to Massachusetts for a pair of matches. Men's and women's cross county and women's tennis will start the new campaign on Saturday with men's soccer hitting the road. Field hockey will start their inaugural season on Sunday.
 
Men's Soccer vs. Slippery Rock University (Thursday 2:00 p.m.)
The DYU men' soccer team will open up the 2024 season at home against Slippery Rock University at Dobson Field. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
 
Women's Volleyball at Ashland University (Friday 12:00 p.m.)
Women's volleyball will head to Ashland University for the Ashland University Invitational, the first four matches on the invitational. The Saints went 1-3 at the invitational a year ago, falling to the Eagles by a score of 3-0. This will be the second time the two teams will meet.
 
Women's Volleyball vs. West Liberty University (Friday 4:00 p.m.)
In their second match of the Ashland University Invitational, the Saints will take on West Liberty University. The team's met for the first-time last season with the Hilltoppers winning 3-2.
 
Women's Soccer at American International University (Friday 4:00 p.m.)
Women's soccer starts the season with two games on the road, first with American International College. This will be the second meeting between the teams with AIC winning the first meeting by a score of 2-0 last season.
 
Men's & Women's Cross Country at Doug Watts Open (Saturday 10:00 a.m.)
The men's & women's cross country team will begin the new year at the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro University. This will be the teams first time competing in the event.
 
Women's Volleyball vs. East Stroudsburg University (Saturday 10:00 a.m.)
Women's volleyball will continue their trip out in the Midwest, facing East Stroudsburg University for their third match of the Ashland University Invitational. The Warriors won the first meeting between the teams 3-0 last season at the D'Youville University Tournament.
 
Women's Tennis at Post University (Saturday 1:00 p.m.)
The women's tennis team will begin the new season on the road at Post University. The Eagles hold the all-time series record at 3-0, winning the team's last meeting by a score of 7-0.
 
Men's Soccer at University of Findlay (Saturday 1:00 p.m.)
The men's soccer team will hit the road for the first time of the season on Saturday when they take on the University of Findlay. The teams meet for the first-time last season with the Oilers winning 5-0.
 
Women's Volleyball vs. Nova Southeastern University (Saturday 4:00 p.m.)
The women's volleyball team will close out the Ashland University Invitational against Nova Southeastern. This will be the first meeting between the teams.
 
Women's Soccer at Assumption University (Sunday 11:00 a.m.)
Women's soccer will close out their road trip with a match against Assumption University. The team's meet for the first-time last season where the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
 
Field Hockey at St. Thomas Aquinas (Sunday 11:00 a.m.)
Field Hockey will start their inaugural season on Sunday when they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas.
