Last Time Out
After starting their season 3-0 with nine straight set wins, the Saints faced a little more of a challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas College. The Saints moved to 4-0 for the 2024 season after defeating the Spartans in five sets on January 28th.
 
Shaun Vattakuzhiyil (Sugar Land, TX / Elkins) led the Saints with 13 kills and recorded three serving aces in the game. Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park) had another strong outing with 38 assists and 10 digs. Haven Wankerl (Cross Plains, Wisc. / Middleton) was solid on defense recording eight digs.
 
 
What to Know About the Daemen University Wildcats
The Wildcats are currently 4-2 overall in the 2024 season. Head coach, Don Gleason is in control of the team in his sixth year of the position. D'Youville Men's Volleyball is currently 1-8 all-time against Daemen. The Saints found their only victory against the Wildcats at home in 2019. Last year. The Saints lost 3-1 at Daemen and 3-0 at home.  
 
Players to Watch For
The Wildcats are led by Cameron Milligan who has 43 kills across six games. Sean Califf has been consistent this season for Daemen recording 119 assist and 28 digs. Zach Schneider leads the team with eight serving aces and Ondrei Arabasz has had a strong 2024 campaign with 20 blocks.
