After back-to-back kills from Ulinski and Darby, the Saints took the 14-12 lead. D'Youville continued to extend their lead until another kill from Darby out the Saints ahead 21-19. The Mavericks offense fought back scoring six in-a-row to take set two 25-21.

The D'Youville offense was not done fighting yet and quickly took a 6-2 lead in the third set. The Mavericks just as quickly tied the game at six following four kills in-a-row. The Saints held the close 14-13 until kills from Darby, Mitha Hatwar (Columbus, OH / Olentangy Liberty), and Madeline O'Brien (East Amherst, N.Y. / Clarence) extended the DYU lead to 18-13.
