Box Score 2 LEESBURG, FLA. – The D'Youville University got a pair of strong pitching performances on the last day of their spring break trip but was left with just a split as Salem University walked it off in game two after the Saints bested the University of New Haven, 2-1, in game one.
GAME 1 – DYU 2, UNH 1
- UNH scored an unearned run in the first
- Gianna Adamo's leadoff single came around to score via an error and a 2-out wild pitch to knot the game at 1-1 after the first.
- UNH capitalized off an inning starting triple in the second, UNH 2-1
- Jamie Bower came up with a clutch 2-out, 2-Run double in the fourth to put DYU ahead 3-2
- Mikayla Bush's RBI single followed by productive out an Olivia Goderis fielder's choice and then a first and third steal play gave DYU some breathing room after five, DYU 6-2.
- Those extra runs were much need as UNH put up three in the seventh but Alexis DelFavero induced back-to-back pop outs in the seventh to earn her first collegiate save.

Game 2: Salem 2, DYU 1
- Hannah Bardeen's solo bomb to left field opened up the scoring in the second.
- Three straight Salem singles to start the sixth plated one but Lauren Booth came on in relief to get the next three outs with the bases sacked.
- DYU would strand runners on first and second to in the top of the seventh.
- Salem began the bottom half of the frame with a single and an error putting the leadoff batter on second.
- The next Tiger singled to walk it off\.

The Saints return home on Saturday after a 4-8 spring break trip and are scheduled to play LeMoyne on Tuesday in a non-conference doubleheader.
